From the President’s Desk

I would like to Thank All Of You Receiving this, because that means you have signed up on Biker Lives Matter web site. By doing so you have become a very important part of an effort to reduce crashes and collisions that are taking the lives of our friends, brothers, sisters and family members daily.

We are a work in progress group meaning we have accomplished a lot but still have a lot to do. We registered with the State of Florida and continue working on all the legal aspects enabling us to more effectively help motorcyclists.

We have named ourselves Biker Lives Matter, well because we are bikers. However we will be working to reduce injury and death from all types of collisions, both four wheeled and two wheeled.

Biker Lives Matter, and so do the lives of all vehicle operators, bicyclist and pedestrians – Is just too long to put on a bumper sticker.

The most Important People Involved Are You! – Yes, I and others do have titles. We will be using our many years of experience and contacts to change things, but a fact of life is that we will need the help of some Government Agencies as we move forward. Politicians are usually not interested in what anyone says unless you can vote for them. So we will be posting about opportunities to write government agencies/ officials and use your status as a voter to influence new policies.

With that being said, YOU ARE THE IMPORTANT PERSON because you can get involved on a local level. It is not that hard to do. We will be having some well known people in the world of motorcycling letting us know what they have done, what they have worked on and what they are currently working on. You will be able to support those you are interested in by numerous ways. Look for opportunities on the website as they become available.

Education is going to be a major goal. If we can educate soon to be vehicle operators about the responsibilities of operating a vehicle that will eventually solve some of the problem. We have some ideas on how to do this and again more will be on the website when it gets to a specific point.

I am sure that most of you are aware of what happened in New Hampshire and that the operator of the vehicle was from Massachusetts.  I have been in touch with people there and more will be on the website soon.

So as I and others are working on these things we need to let as many people as possible know about Biker Lives Matter and what we are working on, YOU CAN HELP by Getting friends, family, other riders and anyone who feels we need to reduce and stop the things that are injuring and killing us to Go To The Website and Sign Up –
